With soul-healing surroundings, sociable spaces, chic interiors and comfortable bedrooms, our weekend retreat, in Norfolk takes place in a luxury 8 bedroom converted farm courtyard. Take some downtime to relax by the fire or read a book in the garden before joining classes and practicing yoga whenever it suits you.
Allow yourself time to focus on yourself for a few days without having to stray too far at this wonderfully relaxed retreat. Think cosy log fires, a good blast of country air and plenty of meditative activities.
Let our in-house chef prepare seasonal breakfasts, afternoon snacks and sumptuous supper menus, served in our spectacular, light-filled Barn, using organic local ingredients and vegetables from the farms in the area
Get your glow back on this 4 day retreat, all guests have the opportunity to start your morning with meditation, followed by a dynamic yoga class planned for the students ability in advance, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner. The day will end with a candlelit restorative class and the opportunity to indulge in mini holistic workshops during the weekend.
Expect to leave this retreat feeling re-vitalised, as you re-awaken your body and soul. All those stresses and tensions will be long behind you.
What’s included ?
Your experienced and specialist Yoga instructors come on this retreat to offer their expertise for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced practitioners. They will offer their specialist knowledge in each class, early morning yoga and calming flowing evening practice.
Each teacher is chosen for their skill level and understanding of the Health and Wellbeing theme for the week, they will plan the classes and the workshops when they have received questionnaires back to ensure the classes are the right level and have adaptions to suit the participants
Is it for me?
The majority of people come on their own and make great friendships, the yoga instructors and their helpers are extremely welcoming, there is always the perfect balance of having people to talk to but having solo time too!
Beginners to Yoga are welcome, we have a specialist Beginners Instructor coming with us, we want to encourage all levels of students to share their experiences and learn from each other. All equipment is provided – just bring yourself!
What if I’m Intermediate/advanced level? We look at the level of student attending and then add a second instructor to suit. When we talked to our Yoga members to find out what a good retreat looks like, they overwhelmingly said they preferred to have separate groups so that the beginners can have time to learn and develop at their pace and the intermediates/advanced Yogis can progress their practice.
Your home for 4 days:
These luxury en-suite converted stables combine rustic charm with funky modern twists. Many original features have been maintained and the materials used – wood, stone, clay – as well as the art decorating the walls reflect the myriad of nature that surrounds the buildings.
Each bedroom has its own entrance for extra privacy. They sit around a courtyard together with the Yoga Barn, amongst herbaceous borders and mosaic paths. The uber comfy beds fit together to make giant super king sized options for couples, two singles for friends or a large ‘get lost in there’ bed for single occupancy. Each room has underfloor heating and walk-in showers to cocoon you in luxury.
Where is it?
This collection of small farming buildings converted into a wonderful Eco Yoga retreat in a small village, just North of Thetford, about 25 minutes from Hunstanton Beach. The nearest town is Swaffham, to the South.
About 2 hours 20 mins from Farnham and mostly on motorways (the last 20 mins are single roads). Set amongst open views over lakes and farmland, this wonderful home away from home, has ample parking and great links by train and bus from London.
