Lucy Butler Bio:
Lucy spent 10 years working as Fashion Buyer in London and Europe. Practising throughout her career she loved Yoga for keeping her body moving and her love for this ancient science quickly grew. During her maternity leave she embarked on teacher training to deepen her practice and hasn’t looked back. Lucy has practiced various forms of yoga including Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Kundalini and Ashtanga. Lucy undertook a Yoga Alliance 200 hours RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) course in 2014 with Jill Jones an inspirational Senior RYT. Lucy focuses on connecting asana (posture) with pranayana (breath control) and postures are built around a series of vinyasa sequences (flow) followed by a savasana (relaxation) at the end.
Lucy’s aim is to design and adapt classes according to the needs of individual students building strength and flexibility in the body. The modern world can be stressful and yoga is a great tool to help better understand body and mind leaving you with a sense of wellbeing and calm. Lucy’s love of yoga inspires her teaching and passion to share her experiences with others. She continues to further her teaching though workshops and her own practice at home and in the studio. She has now undertaken a 300 hour advanced teacher training with Yoga London, so is a fully qualified 500 hour teacher.
Lucy’s talent for ‘Barre’ shines in her classes. Her style of ‘Barre’ allows you to tone your body and burn fat, all while improving your range of motion and flexibility. Using your bodyweight and small dumbbells as well as resistance bands and holding your body in positions to ‘feel the burn’.
