What is the Alexander Technique?

The Alexander Technique is a self-help technique that re-educates your body back into good postural habits by optimising the natural balance of the head, neck and back.

It increases your body awareness, improves natural movement and makes you more mindful. It will also improve your balance, co-ordination and posture in everything you do. The Alexander Technique is a gentle and beneficial treatment that complements other disciplines and treatments

What happens in a session?

The Alexander Technique is taught in 1 2 1 sessions. During the lesson you will be guided through simple movements such as sitting, standing and walking. Together we will observe unhelpful habits that are restricting easier, freer movement.

You will learn simple techniques that can help you find greater sense of ease, as you start to recognise and release those habits; this learning can then be applied to everything you do.
