Incorporating the very best elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a highly effective form of talking therapy that works to bring about lasting positive change.
This specific type of therapy has shown to be extremely effective for a wide range of issues, including:
The sessions are collaborative, we look forward rather than dwelling on past problems themselves. We focus on the present and the preferred future, rewiring thought processes to build new healthy patterns of behaviour. Many of my clients have described the sessions as empowering and come away feeling like they have regained control of their lives.
Toni is a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. She lives locally in Farnham with her partner Tim and their dog Remi!
It was Toni’s own personal health that resulted in her experiencing hypnotherapy when she found herself launched into peri-menopause overnight with no understanding or comprehension of what it meant for her emotional and physical wellbeing.
Although she now realises it wasn’t ‘overnight’, she certainly hadn’t recognised the nudging symptoms until her mind and body decided enough was enough and started to shout even louder.
After many months exploring different types of therapy (and experiencing everything from high levels of anxiety to being at rock bottom with depression) alongside improving physical wellbeing, Toni eventually stumbled across hypnotherapy and finally started to understand how her brain was working…
“Once I began to understand what was happening it allowed me the head space to start to make changes in my life to find the balance that I needed and to regain my positivity and happiness. Through my own experience I fell in love with hypnotherapy and became fascinated with the connection between our brain and body. I decided to train to become a clinical hypnotherapist myself so that I could help people who are facing challenges of their own.
We all have the resources and strengths within us to solve and overcome problems, sometimes we just need a helping hand to guide us there.”
I got my zest back for life and am enjoying each day, which involves lots of dog walking, yoga, strength training and the odd festival or gig thrown in for good measure!
The initial consultation is approximately 90 minutes and helps me to understand about you and what you want to achieve through our sessions together. I will explain how the brain works and how this is relevant to you and the issues that you are experiencing. It’s also a good time for you to ask any questions you have in relation to the therapy.
I will also give you a free recording to listen to every night as you go to sleep which will help you to relax and begin the process of hypnotherapy.
Each hypnotherapy session is approximately 50 minutes and split into two sections. In the first part we will spend some time talking about the progress you are making, together we will discuss your personal goals and steps that you can take to move forward. I will be encouraging you to be thinking positively about yourself and your life, and focusing on solutions for you. The second part of the session is a deep relaxation, allowing your busy mind to relax and focus on any thoughts and suggestions that may be useful to you to bring about your desired changes and goals.
Self-care is so important to each of us and we get so busy with our daily lives that it can easily drop to the bottom of priorities. You can take some ‘me’ time and book a 30 minute relaxation session putting your body into a complete and encompassing state of relaxation that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Smoking Cessation Hypnotherapy will give you all the skills and strengths you need to be smoke-free in just one 1.5 – 2 hour session.
It works by changing your mind’s dependency on cigarettes at a subconscious level.
Hypnosis is a trance state, where we are guided into deeper levels of relaxation. In this relaxed state, we experience changes in our conscious awareness that are almost like day-dreaming.
In fact, experiencing changes in our conscious awareness is a vital part of our existence as humans – we need times where we can relax, reflect and consolidate information, and utilise different parts of our brains for different activities.
During this time, the unconscious mind is more aware and can focus on helpful suggestions.
