Ebb & Flow -

Ebb&Flow are proud to be offering this 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programme in Farnham, Surrey. Vinyasa is at the very heart of this training, allowing you to qualify as a versatile and confident teacher, with numerous sequences at your disposal.

Julee Yew Crjins has been practising yoga for almost 25 years and has taught yoga full time since 2007. Over the past 10 years, Julee has been an assistant on Simon Park’s (noted by Yoga Journal as “one of the most influential and gifted yoga teachers of the next generation”) teacher trainings, been invited to teach on several teacher trainings in the UK, Malaysia, Sweden & Netherlands, and started a Vinyasa Training and mentoring programme that she has loved facilitating.

A founding director of our studio for many years, she is the ideal lead trainer on this programme, which she has created and curated to show you how to teach in a way that has nothing to do with what you can or cannot do, because the essence of yoga is to empower; this has nothing to do with our ability to perform yoga poses, but rather your ability to deliver your presence.

Presence is the way you speak to every student in the room and hold space for everyone, such that makes them feel seen and encourages them to step into their full potential, both on and off the mat.

“I understand this will be your first step towards this lifelong path and I have witnessed how overwhelming it can be.  For this reason, this training will be broken down in a way that will serve where you are on the path right now.”

This syllabus will serve you, no matter your skill.

You will learn:

  • How to Teach

  • Purposeful Sequencing

  • Intuitive Cueing

  • Anatomy, Biomechanics & Physiology

  • Nervous System & Energetics

  • Applied Yoga Philosophy

  • Meditation & Mindfulness

  • Breath & Pranayama

  • Business of Yoga

All this is possible because we teach in a small group setting, focused on building connections and supportive framework.

*All teacher trainees will also receive 20% off 10 or 20 class packs at the Ebb&Flow studio throughout their training course*

“The beauty about yoga today, is its accessibility to everyone… and so the definition of a yoga teacher is boundless. Ultimately, this job is not really a job… it is a responsibility that comes with immense joy and job satisfaction.

As a yoga teacher, we see every small breakthrough, every disappointment, happy tears and sad tears, moments of clarity, frustration, joy… we witness silently, never knowing the truth of the story most of the time. It drives us to continue doing what we do because we witness its power in all forms.

I have been practising yoga for almost 25 years and I have taught yoga full time since 2007. In this time, I have witnessed

the industry change,

how the range of students have changed,

how classes have changed,

how we market yoga has changed,

even how we dress for yoga has changed…!

I am grateful to be a part of this practice, this community and this job. It is an absolute joy through its ups and downs, and it has shaped me, provided for me, given me roots to grow.

It has pulled me into a lighter, brighter side of life, supported me out of chronic pain and kept me healthy. Essentially, it has sustained the vitality of my body, mind and spirit.

It has always given me a shove to step into my light, and this year, I have felt another push to share this accumulation of wisdom from all my teachers, from my experience and from so much joy

This shove is the birth of my teacher training.”

Julee’s Vinyasa Immersion was game changing for me, not only as a yoga teacher but also as a practitioner. The course gave me a new approach towards sequencing for vinyasa classes, building and layering towards either a peak pose, within a theme or particular physiological aspect.

Julee’s love of yoga philosophy and story telling added even more to the learning, coupled with daily practice, group workshops and teacher/student feedback. The course helped me gain confidence with how to sequence classes for different ability levels and also how to offer modifications and hands-on adjustments. A thoroughly insightful and well-structured course, led with enthusiasm and skill.

– Hannah J.

The Vinyasa Immersion is a week of yoga bubble time, exploring and learning about varied vinyasa in more depth, with time and space to enjoy daily practice for yourself, but also share and teach others.

Julee’s teaching style is creative and unique but translates so well for a wide range of students.

I’d highly recommend  this immersion to develop and deepen your own practice or to further progress your teaching capabilities.

I'm worried about my yoga experience / concerned I'll be the weakest person on the training!

We hear this a lot and it’s totally normal to feel fearful of signing up to a yoga teacher training – let’s be honest it is a big leap for many of us!

Your yoga practice is nothing to stress about. We have students of all levels and all walks of life join us for our teacher training. Many students join for different reasons, each one just as valid as the next.

What we can tell you is yoga is not about touching your toes; it’s what you learn on the way down. You don’t need to be strong or flexible. You just need to have the willingness to learn about the practice, invest the time in yourself and we promise you’ll find a different kind of flexibility and strength on the other side!

It’s not so much about how much preparation goes into your practice before the training, it’s more about making the space during the training for you to absorb as much as possible and to be consistent and dedicated in your approach. That way you really get the most out of your teacher training experience and learn to be truly present in all you do both on and off the mat. This is just the beginning of your journey and we’ve got your back!

Why did we choose Julee?

Julee has been practising yoga for almost 25 years and has taught full time since 2007. As our founding director, her role as Creative Director has been fundamental to our success as a studio, and we know her experience will be pivotal for this teacher training.

Over the past 10 years, Julee has been an assistant on Simon Park’s teacher training, been invited to teach on several teacher trainings in the UK, Malaysia Sweden & Netherlands, and started a Vinyasa Training & mentoring program, that she has loved facilitating.

This unique teacher training will draw from the strengths of many schools, to bring to you a programme that will pave the way for you to become a versatile and confident yoga teacher.

“For these 6 months, you will have my full dedication to you. I will commit all my time to you, just as you would receive if you did a residential training. In exchange, I ask for your committed studentship. It will not be easy, as I will ask for the best of you, as my teachers did of me. Pour your heart and soul into this, open to receive and you will finish ready.”

Why train with us?

We don’t enrol lots of students and are dedicated to small class sizes to offer each of you the best connection with your trainer. You will never be left alone with your text books either because this course has over 160 hours of contact:

  • Small and intimate class sizes
  • Strong focus on teaching quality
  • Through passion & connection we create a strong graduate community
  • Inclusion: yoga for all, the ‘pose’ is not the goal, and everyone is welcome
  • Meditation: a vital experience for all teachers on this training
  • The opportunity to observe and assist in classes at the Ebb&Flow studio

What are the hours of study/commitment per week?

You will receive study work at the end of each session. The recommended hours of study outside of the assigned weekends are 2-3 hours per week / 20-30 mins per day, practising the yoga postures, meditation and pranayama (breathwork).

If you have any learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, please do get in touch with us as we have had many students already attain their teaching qualification by creating work arounds that suit their situation.
